The completion of these projects, coupled with the progress already made, will bring 6,000 public service jobs to over 40 locations outside of Dublin. The Government has decided to defer further work on implementation of the other elements of the decentralisation programme pending a review in 2011 in light of budgetary developments.

General Information
CAF applicants are once again reminded of the importance of having categorised themselves as the correct grade.
It has been noted that a large amount of clerical officers have incorrectly categorised themselves as 'Clerk I' or 'Clerk II'. If you are unsure of your correct title please contact your Personnel Officer. If you have the wrong grade down you may miss out on a decentralising post!
You also need to ensure that you have correctly categorised yourself as a civil servant as opposed to a public servant if you work in a civil service Department/Office. Again, your Personnel Officer will be able to advise you regarding the status of your employment.

The onus is on you as a CAF applicant, to make sure that your contact details are kept up to date. This will enable both the Public Appointments Service and decentralising organisations to contact you regarding your application.
