    The Health Policy Analyst Experience

    Liam Hawkes

    Liam Hawkes
Health Policy Analyst - Administrative Officer

After studying Psychology at Trinity, I joined the Policy, Strategy and Integration Unit to help develop and maintain policy standards. I have also worked on specialised policy such as Sexual Assault Treatment Units, the Women’s Health Task Force and more recently on the COVID-19 response.

To have the opportunity to work on such important topics at an early stage in my career is both a challenge and a privilege. I feel connected to the everyday experiences of people all over Ireland.

Through the Graduate Development Programme, I have learned about a range of topics including parliamentary affairs, legislative drafting and policy development. I’ve also availed of personal development through Project Management and Speechwriting courses as well as formal qualifications; I’m now studying for a Part-Time Masters.
