The HR Experience

Caroline Kielty
HR Business Partner
Public Appointments Service

I work in the HR unit in the Public Appointments Service as a HR Business Partner. My role is to engage with the different units within the organisation, identifying any needs in terms of resourcing and training, along with offering advice and support. I am also involved in the wellness programme for the organisation which ensures employees are fully supported, mentally and physically.

There are other aspects to the job too, like collating data to help compile resourcing reports so my day to day workload is quite varied and sometimes challenging. For me, being of support to my colleagues is probably the aspect I love most. I would highly recommend the AO role, it’s both challenging and rewarding and the job satisfaction is second to none.
