There are a number of exciting opportunities available if you are interested in kick starting your career in Europe. This includes traineeships, Irish Translator and Data Protection Specialists positions, and events that are taking place over
the coming month.

The EU is looking for Irish Translators!

The European Personnel Selection Office is
looking for Irish Language Translators to work in

Data Protection Specialists wanted

The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) is looking to hire permanent Data Protection Specialists in Brussels. To apply, you must be an EU citizen with a university degree of at least three years. You must also have at least three years professional experience in the legal or data protection fields, half of which will be in the field of data protection law in public administration. A thorough knowledge of English and a good command of another EU language would be preferred. The deadline for applications is the 11th of September. Are you interested in a traineeship?

The Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg is looking for trainees to start on the 1st of March, 2019. These traineeships take place for 5 months and provide an excellent insight into the work of the Court and its various Directorates. The deadline for applications is the 15th of September. The General Secretariat of the Council of the EU is also taking applications for paid traineeships starting next Spring (February - June 2019). This 5 month traineeship offers first-hand experience of the work of the General Secretariat, insight into the processes and policies of the EU institutions and the chance to work in a multicultural, multilingual and multi-ethnic environment. The Department of Foreign Affairs will be attending a number of public outreach and careers events in the coming months including the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, from the 18th-20th of September.
