The role of a member of An Garda Síochána can be varied and diverse. As a member of An Garda Síochána, you may be required to:

• Detect and prevent crime.
• Ensure our nation's security.
• Reduce the incidence of fatal and serious injuries on our roads and improve road safety.
• Work with communities to prevent anti-social behaviour.
• Promote an inter-agency approach to problem solving and improve the overall quality of life.

Salary:
€23, 171-€45,793
Salary rises on yearly increments depending on performance and other terms and conditions.
