Biography:
I am originally a Swedish national and I have lived in Ireland for 10 years. My academic background is within “Cultural Studies” but in my previous employment I was working as an analyst with processes and continual improvement for a large multinational in Ireland. I joined the guards as a civilian senior analyst two years ago.
Role:
The role and work of a Crime and Policing Analyst can include:
- Supporting the delivery of effective policing by undertaking analytical functions.
- Developing analytical techniques and systems to support crime analysis.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge in relation to intelligence, crime trends and patterns.
- Creating, developing and maintaining appropriate databases to facilitate the storage and analysis of data records.
- Liaising with relevant An Garda Síochána personnel, at various levels and locations.
