publicjobs receives 5-star recognition from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)

publicjobs has received 5-star recognition from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), and was presented with our EFQM certificate by the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, Jack Chambers TD, in Government Buildings on Wednesday, 5 November 2025.

The EFQM Model is one of the world’s most widely used management frameworks. It is a practical framework for organisational change and performance improvement, not just quality, and the concepts of change and transformation are key to it.

publicjobs put together a comprehensive submission about the work we do as an organisation, and submitted this to the EFQM with supporting evidence. A group of Assessors from the EFQM then reviewed the submission and supporting evidence, and attended our offices to interview and conduct focus groups with members of our management and staff about the submission and the work we do.

Following their assessment, we learned that we received 5-star recognition from the EFQM, which makes publicjobs the first Civil or Public Service organisation in Ireland to achieve 5-star accreditation.

Speaking about the achievement, Minister Chambers said, ‘I am delighted to present publicjobs with their EFQM certificate, and as line Minister, I wish to commend publicjobs on this achievement and on their continued commitment to improvement and reform'.

CEO of publicjobs, Margaret McCabe, added, ‘Being recognised as a 5-star organisation by the EFQM is a fantastic achievement for publicjobs, and a testament to much of the great work we do as an organisation. We look forward to building on this achievement in the years ahead, as we implement our new ‘Recruit with Purpose’ strategy, and by continuing to invest in transformation and service excellence to meet the evolving needs of our clients and candidates and to support a future-ready public service.’
